Crisp White Shirt…
With so many new trends on the horizon, the task of updating your wardrobe can certainly be daunting. Yesterday while at lunch, I was asked the question, “If I could only buy one new thing, what should it be?” After mulling it over, this is my conclusion:
Invest in a crisp, white tailored shirt. Classic. Effortless. Chic. Jil Sander does amazing shirts with an array of different collars. If that is a little out of your price range, try Banana Republic. Regardless of who makes it, it should be tailored perfectly. Why a crisp, white shirt? For starters, it will never go out of style. Secondly, fashion is decidedly more put-together and stream lined this fall, so, while timeless, it also happens to be right for the moment. And lastly, there are infinite ways you can wear it. Casual with jeans. Tucked into a high-waisted skirt. Over sleek, form-fitting trousers. Under a jacket. The list goes on.
