Wall Street Womenswear…

June 22, 2010

A little unknown fact for your morning: I am a little bit of a total business nerd.

In school I was the fashion major who was also in the business foundations program sitting awestruck in Finance 101.  Last week I boarded a plane to Europe with Fast Company and Forbes as well as Vogue and Bazaar.  Bankrate.Com is on my top viewed websites and the last book I finished was Maria Bartiromo’s The 10 Laws of Enduring Success.  It should come as no surprise then that I am totally stoked about Michael Douglas reprising his role as Gordon Gekko in the Oliver Stone directed Wall Street.  Its not just Shia LaBeouf in that dashing peaked lapel gray suit either, though that is enticing.

While watching the recent runways, I couldn’t help but think that I may not be the only Wall Street minded style maven.  Crisp white collared shirts and black pencil skirts abounded.  Check out the looks below and update accordingly.

Bottega Veneta

Oscar de la Renta

United Bamboo

Proenza Schouler
